In the Exhibition Room, you can see our exhibition on freedom of thought. Just outside the Exhibition Room, you can view a presentation on the Ravensbrück Archive. We also have online exhibitions, available whenever suits you. You can find them on this page.
Freedom of Thought | Behind the exhibition
In a story about freedom of thought, Copernicus, forbidden ideas and the satire of the Lund Carnival come together. Read all about the exhibition ideas and what the people behind them have to say.

Freedom of Thought – from Copernicus to the Celestial Carnival
Are you curious about science? Do you appreciate the Lund student carnival tradition? Then you must visit our exhibition, where you can experience science and humour in an unexpected combination.
The Library has found a copy of Copernicus’s famous 16th-century work on the celestial spheres. We are celebrating this with an exhibition that ties in with this year’s student carnival’s celestial theme. The exhibition highlights freedom of thought – both in science and in humour. The Academic Society’s archives and the Carnival Committee helped us bring it to life.
Be entertained by carnival material that pokes fun at those in power. And be fascinated by groundbreaking astronomical works from the 16th and 17th centuries. Join us for a tradition of free thinking, questioning, and laughter at Lund University.
The presentation on the Ravensbrück Archive
The Ravensbrück Archive, a Memory of the World, display is no longer in the Exhibition Room. You can now view it outside the Exhibition Room.
