Read- and publish agreement

Researchers at Lund University can use agreements to publish open access with easy handling of the administrative processes and negotiated costs. Read more about the terms of the agreement here.

About the agreement

The agreement entails open access publishing in both the publisher's open access- and hybrid journals when the corresponding author is affiliated with Lund University. Hybrid journals are subscription-based journals with an open access option. Initially the cost of publishing is paid by the University Library.

The license used on articles is CC BY 4.0.

The agreement is valid from January 1st, 2020.

Workflow for authors

To facilitate for the publisher to identify researchers from organisations included in the agreement, please make sure of the following:

  • You have stated your affiliation with (a department at) the University
  • You are using your LU / LTH e-mail in the correspondence
  • You must also state that the University is a part of the agreement, in the submission process there is an option to choose Lund University in a drop-down list.

If there is a problem with publishing with open access within the agreement, contact the journal and refer to the agreement and send CC to us at publicera [at] lub [dot] lu [dot] se.

Publishing costs at Lund University

Parts of the costs of publishing, both within the agreements and those paid with the extra publishing support, are later invoiced to the faculties. Depending on how your faculty chooses to handle the costs, you may have to pay a part of the publication fee at a later stage.
