Read- and publish agreement
Researchers at Lund University can use agreements to publish open access with easy handling of the administrative processes and negotiated costs. Read more about the terms of the agreement here.
About the agreement
The agreement provides open access publishing under negotiated conditions in all journals from Wiley and Hindawi. Both open access journals and hybrid journals are included in the agreement.
The agreement covers articles falling under the principal categories of Original article, Primary research article, or Review article (not book reviews). The article types may be named differently across the publisher's journals but may correspond to or be included in one of the main categories. Contact the publisher if you are unsure whether a specific article type is covered by the agreement.
The majority of journals offer publishing under CC-BY, CC-BY-NC, or CC-BY-NC-ND licenses. However, around 60 of the publisher's journals only offer CC-BY if required by a research funder.
The corresponding author's affiliation with Lund University must be stated in the published article.

Workflow for authors
To facilitate publisher’s ability to identify researchers from organisations that are part of the agreement, please make sure of the following:
- State your affiliation with Lund University in the article and, if possible, in the publisher’s manuscript submission system.
- Use your institutional e-mail address (ending with “lu.se” or “lth.se”) when submitting the manuscript.

Publishing costs at Lund University
Parts of the costs of publishing, both within the agreements and those paid with the extra publishing support, are later invoiced to the faculties. Depending on how your faculty chooses to handle the costs, you may have to pay a part of the publication fee at a later stage.
