Guide to the library
The guide offers a brief overview of how the library operates. Please visit the information desk on the entrance floor. We will be happy to help you with your questions.
The information desk, books, and self-checkout machine are on the entrance floor. You read the public collection of books in the library. Everything you can borrow is in storage, so you must request it in advance.
Group workspaces are available on the third floor.
In the basement, you will find the Special Collections Reading Room, newspapers on microfilm, and the newspaper computer.
The library offers functional study spaces on the entrance and first floors. Each study space has its own light fixture and power outlet.
Group study rooms are on the first floor above the information desk. The rooms have monitors and whiteboards. Students and staff at Lund University can book group study rooms.
The group workspaces on the third floor are not bookable. Remember that the spaces are for collaborative work, not individual use.
You will find a selection from our previous collections on the entrance floor. The selection includes items from the open collection (ÖS) and the reference collection. Additionally, we have four themed collections featuring the library's large and diverse collections. The themes are personal archives, book history, sustainability research, and maps.
We call it the public collection; you can only read it in the library.
