Doctoral theses

Register, publish and share your thesis

Find information on how to register, publish, and share your thesis at Lund University, including getting an ISBN, publishing electronically in full text, and submitting printed copies to the University Library.

By contacting the University Library, you can obtain an ISBN for both printed and electronic doctoral theses. The thesis should also be registered in LUCRIS to appear in the Research Portal and in Lund University’s calendar of upcoming thesis defenses.

Electronic full-text publication increases the thesis’s visibility and reach. Copyright rules may vary depending on the type of thesis being published.

A number of printed copies should be submitted to the University Library or sent as hard copies by post.

For more information, see the links below or contact your faculty administrator if you have questions regarding your thesis or your thesis defense.
