Microbiology Society

Researchers at Lund University can use agreements to publish open access with easy handling of the administrative processes and negotiated costs. Read more about the terms of the agreement here.

About the agreement

The agreement enables open access publishing in hybrid and open access journals from the Microbiology Society. Initially the cost of publishing is paid by the University Library.

The corresponding author must be affiliated with Lund University and state Lund University as an affiliation in the article.

Articles are published under the Creative Commons license CC-BY. It is also possible to select CC-BY-NC.

The article types included in the agreement are: Papers, Special Issue Papers, Reviews, and Letters.

Publishing within the agreement applies to articles that are accepted for publication from January 1st, 2022.

Workflow for authors

Authors from Lund University must be the corresponding author in the article, and use their LU or LTH e-mail when submitting a manuscript.

Publishing costs at Lund University

Parts of the costs of publishing, both within the agreements and those paid with the extra publishing support, are later invoiced to the faculties. Depending on how your faculty chooses to handle the costs, you may have to pay a part of the publication fee at a later stage.
