Springer Compact

Researchers at Lund University can use agreements to publish open access with easy handling of the administrative processes and negotiated costs. Read more about the terms of the agreement here.

About the agreement

The agreement enables open access publishing in the publisher's hybrid journals, a total of about 2000 journals. Hybrid journals from Palgrave MacMillan and Nature Academic are included. Hybrid journals are subscription-based journals with an open access option. Initially the cost of publishing is paid by the University Library.

The corresponding author must be affiliated with Lund University and have stated Lund University as the affiliation in the article in order to be able to publish open access within the agreement.

The following publication types are included in the agreement: Original Paper, Review Paper, Brief Communication, and Continuous Education. Additional costs, such as paid offprints, color figures, posters, are not included in the agreement.

Lund University is part of additional national agreements with Springer Nature. The Nature Research Journals agreement includes open access publishing in Nature journals, and the agreement Springer Nature Fully OA includes several of the publisher’s open access journals, such as the imprint BioMed Central (BMC).
