Springer Nature Fully Open Access
Publishing Open Access with Springer/Nature
Researchers at Lund University can publish without charge in about 570 pure open access journals from Springer Nature.
About the agreement
Springer Nature Fully OA is a pilot agreement that grants publishing in Springer Nature’s pure open access journals at no cost for researchers at Lund University.
The corresponding author must be affiliated to Lund University and have stated Lund University as affiliation in the article in order to be able to publish open access within the agreement.
Journals from the following imprints are included in the agreement:
- BioMed Central (BMC)
- Springer Open Journals
- NatureResearch (including Nature Communications and Scientific Reports)
- Palgrave Macmillan (one journal: Palgrave Communications)
The agreement includes author fees for the following publication types: Original Paper, Review Paper, Brief Communication and Continuous Education.
The agreement is valid until a certain number of articles have been published.
Journals included in this or other current publisher agreements are found by using our search service where all journal titles are listed.
Workflow for authors
Make sure that you are affiliated to Lund university in the article, and always submit a manuscript using the institutional e-mail (ending with “lu.se” or “lth.se”). LU-affiliated corresponding authors will be identified by the publisher when submitting. When asked to enter the affiliation, please only enter Lund University. This will facilitate the identification. Your affiliation will be verified by staff at Lund University Library.
The agreement comes into force if and when the article is accepted, not upon submission. When the article is accepted, the researcher receives a request about open access.
