Lund University has signed a subscription agreement with AIP that also contains an open access component.
About the agreement
The agreement grants free open access publishing in six of the publisher’s hybrid journals. Hybrid journals are subscription-based journals with an open access option.
The corresponding author must be affiliated to Lund University and have stated Lund University as their affiliation in the article in order to be able to publish open access within the agreement. CC BY 4.0 is the default license, but other options may be selected.
The date of publication determines if an article is eligible to be published open access without an APC cost. Articles accepted in 2020 but published in a 2020 volume in 2021 are also included as part of the agreement.
Authors who have already paid an APC for an article covered by the agreement may get a ”credit” that covers the APC in a future publishing in any of AIPs journals, including the OA-journals. This does not include journals published by AIP, but owned by other societies (e.g. AAPT, AVS, ASA, SoR, JPSJ). If you are eligible for a credit, please contact AIP through the publisher’s web site.
Journals included in this or other current publisher agreements are found by using our search service where all journal titles are listed.
Workflow for authors
State the affiliation to Lund University and always use the LU / LTH e-mail in contact with the publisher.
When submitting a manuscript, the author will be given the voluntary choice to publish open access without any additional cost, provided that they:
- Are corresponding author
- Are affiliated to Lund University
- Have used the institutional email (ending with "lu.se" or "lth.se")
Detailed instructions for authors are available at the publisher's website.
