The University Library has study spaces scattered throughout the library and in reading rooms. To reduce the spread of virus, all seats are individual seats.

Individual study spaces

There are individual study spaces on the entrance floor and the mezzanine. These spaces are not absolutely quiet, you may hear background noise from other visitors in the library. Be considerate when talking on you mobile phone and use headphones with your computer to avoid sound leakage.

Quiet reading rooms

Our reading rooms are on the entrance floor and are suitable for those seeking a quiet environment. Computers are allowed, but use headphones to avoid sound leakage. Your mobile phone should be turned off or in silent mode. In Bengtssonssalen there are reading booths. In Tegnérssalen there are larger tables.

Special Collections Reading Room

In the Special Collections Reading Room you read i.e older publications (printed before 1900) and manuscripts. You need to book a seat in the Special Collections Reading Room, by the latest one hour in advance.

Scholars' reading rooms

The scholars' reading rooms Scriptoriet and Collijnska are reserved for researchers. At the information desk you can get a code for the door. These reading rooms are located on the 1st floor. It's also possible to rent a locker or a trolley where you can keep your in-house loans.
