Study spaces and reading rooms

The University Library offers study spaces of several kinds, some of them in quiet reading rooms. The Special Collections Reading Room is reserved for studying older and fragile items, such as manuscripts, maps, and books printed before the year 1900.

We offer over 300 study spaces at the University Library, some of them in quiet reading rooms, some of them in the general library space. Laptops are allowed everywhere, including the quiet reading rooms. Food, however, is not allowed. Drinks in containers with lids or caps are allowed.
