About the agreement

  • BioMed Central (BMC)
  • Springer Open Journals
  • NatureResearch (including Nature Communications and Scientific Reports)
  • Palgrave Macmillan (one journal: Palgrave Communications)

The agreement includes author fees for the following publication types: Original Paper, Review Paper, Brief Communication and Continuous Education.

The agreement is valid until a certain number of articles have been published.

Workflow for authors

Make sure that you are affiliated to Lund university in the article, and always submit a manuscript using the institutional e-mail (ending with “” or “”). LU-affiliated corresponding authors will be identified by the publisher when submitting. When asked to enter the affiliation, please only enter Lund University. This will facilitate the identification. Your affiliation will be verified by staff at Lund University Library.

The agreement comes into force if and when the article is accepted, not upon submission. When the article is accepted, the researcher receives a request about open access.
