Springer Compact

Researchers at Lund University can use agreements to publish open access with easy handling of the administrative processes and negotiated costs. Read more about the terms of the agreement here.

About the agreement

The agreement provides open access publishing under negotiated conditions in a selection of hybrid journals from Springer Nature. Journals from the publisher imprints Adis, Palgrave MacMillan, and Nature Academic are also included.

The agreement covers the following article types: Original Paper, Review Paper, Brief Communication, and Continuing Education.

All articles are published with a CC BY license.

The corresponding author's affiliation with Lund University must be stated in the published article.

Any additional costs, such as expenses for color images, are not included.

Lund University is also part of additional national agreements with Springer Nature. The Nature Research Journals agreement covers publishing in Nature journals, and the Springer Nature Fully OA agreement includes several of the publisher's open access journals, such as those under the BioMed Central (BMC) imprint.

Please refer to the publisher’s instructions for more detailed information.

Publishing costs at Lund University

Parts of the costs of publishing, both within the agreements and those paid with the extra publishing support, are later invoiced to the faculties. Depending on how your faculty chooses to handle the costs, you may have to pay a part of the publication fee at a later stage.
