The photographer Per Bagge’s (1866-1936) collection of photographies from Lund is a unique historical treasure, consisting of approximately 20,000 glass plates. The collection documents the city, the street life, events and individuals from the 1890's to the 1930's. Most of these pictures have previously been entirely inaccessible to researchers as well as the general public. Now, the University Library is making all photographies accessible in digital form, while simultaneously saving the fragile glass plates for the future. The entire collection of plates is being scanned and registered in a searchable database.
