New exhibition: Sappho in Sweden

The exhibition "Sappho in Sweden" has now opened at the University Library.
Sappho in Sweden - Sophia Elisabet Brenner 350 yearsThe exhibition is devoted to Brenner, a woman of learning and a celebrated poet in her own day, who was born 350 years ago. She was one of the first women to publicly publish poetry in Sweden.The exhibition is organised by Valborg Lindgärde and Elisabet Göransson.Marianne Alenius, Ph.D. and Publisher-in-Chief at the Museum Tusculanum Press in Copenhagen, held the inaugural speech. The exhibition runs 15 May - 5 September.
