Study places

The University Library is a large study centre with over 500 study places distributed among reading rooms and bookable meeting rooms. There are also many individual study places and comfortable seating areas scattered throughout the library.

Apart from meeting rooms, which must be booked, there are group work areas in the library. Some reading rooms are silent study areas. The Special Collections Reading Room is for the study of manuscripts, material printed prior to 1900, maps, images, ephemera and other fragile or cumbersome items.
