All Swedish doctoral theses are sent to the University Library. Most theses can be found by searching our catalogue Lovisa. Lund University theses from 1996 onward are also available in LUP.

The theses from the current academic year at Lund University are displayed on a special shelf.

Swedish theses

  • Lovisa – Search our Swedish doctoral theses. Not all older theses are visible here.
  • LIBRIS – Search for theses in Swedish research libraries. Many older Swedish theses have been digitized and can be found here.
  • Lund University Publications (LUP) – Search for theses from Lund University as of 1996. Approximately one quarter of these theses can be read in full text.

Many but not all our older theses are searchable in Catalogue -1957. Please contact us if you are unable to locate an older thesis.

  • Catalogue -1957 – All Swedish theses from 1855 to 1957 are catalogued and can be searched for alphabetically by author name. Before 1855, they are registered selectively and can be searched for by supervisor name.

International theses

In general, more recent international theses are not available at Swedish libraries but should be ordered as inter-library loans. In that case you pay for a copy of the thesis (in print or electronic). We have many older international theses, published up to and including 1957. Please contact us for help with searches and requests.
